Simei Care Centre is a community based, purpose-built rehabilitation centre operated by the Singapore Anglican Community Services, a voluntary welfare organization. It caters to the various needs of persons with psychiatric disabilities in Singapore.
Completed in December 2004, it has a capacity of 156 residential members and another 90 day care members.
We hope to help each of our members rediscover skills and resources needed to successfully live, learn and work in the community with the least amount of professional assistance.
Our Mission
To provide quality rehabilitation services to persons with psychiatric disabilities in their journey towards recovery, community re-integration and an improved quality of life.
Our Values
Our values and principles of care are based on a collaborative and holistic approach between counselors and members. Simei Care Centre aims to be a place where our members can find the help and support needed in their journey toward recovery. We believe in inculcating
r.i.c.h.e. values in our members i.e. recovery, independence, creativity, harmony and employment.
Our Services/ Programs
People with psychiatric disabilities experience various limitations in everyday functioning. Due to the illness, they may have marked skill deficits in social, work skills and interpersonal situations.
The aim of rehabilitation is to restore a person's ability for independent living, socialization and the management of the illness. It may involve a reformulation of one's life aspirations and the rehabilitation program includes counselling, psychoeducation besides skills training.

Social Enterprise
At Simei Care Centre, social enterprises are operated and created within the centre. We work with volunteers and business partners who see and support our mission and work of rehabilitation.
Through the social enterprises, we aim to create work opportunities and income for our members. We operate a cafeteria, a thrift store, gift stores and two workshops among other things.
Members Own Social Enterprise Services (MOSES) has been especially created as a vehicle for our members to showcase their own products and services to the community, as well as to develop a keen sense of entrepreneur spirit. More information can be obtained at

Joysprings
We have a clubhouse for our members called JoySprings. It is equipped with facilities such as a gymnasium, music room, karaoke room and basketball court.
The clubhouse is a place for our members to have recreation, leisure and interaction. Former members are welcomed back to join the clubhouse and enjoy the facilities.
