About Us

The Community Rehabilitation Support & Service (CRSS) programme for individuals with psychiatric disabilities started in January 2006. A community project of the Singapore Anglican Community Services (SACS) and supported by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and the National Council of Social Service (NCSS), the programme involves a mobile-team of professionals providing essential services to clients at their place of residence in the community. The objective of the CRSS programme is to enable people with psychiatric disabilities to live safely in the community, and that they are meaningfully engaged in work, studies or other meaningful activities of their choice.

The services provided by the CRSS mobile-rehabilitative team includes:

ADL Training

  • Psychosocial Skills (Social Support, Productive Time Management, Problem Solving Skills)

Caregivers' Training

In response to community needs. CRSS has also started a Wellness Education Centre in Bt Batok East. This Centre caters specifically to the needs of educated young adults with psychiatric disabilities. The centre, located in a non-stigmatising environment, aims to:

a.  equip individuals with psychiatric disability with life skills which will help them function independently and that would enable them to pursue a goal/s of their own choice;

b.  provide individuals with psychiatric disability the opportunity to learn practical skills that supports the pursuit of specific vocation/interests of their choice;

c.  provide a non-stigmatising environment whereby members of the community could work with individuals with psychiatric with disability

The programs offered at the Centre includes NITEC in Service Skills, Computer Appreciation, COGPAC - Cognitive training, Illness Management & Recovery, Family Link Education Program, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Baking & Cooking, Art & Craft, Design & Handicrafts,
